The negative prompts circulating on forums describe someone else’s failures on a different model. Malformed hands matter for portraits and are irrelevant for a landscape, where the real defects are oversaturation and repeating texture.

Terms are grouped by subject here so you start from the defects your subject actually produces.

A negative prompt is not free

Every term is processed, and on some models the negative prompt competes for the same attention as the positive one. Twenty terms is not twice as effective as ten — past a point it dilutes both.

Add terms in response to defects you have actually seen in your output, not pre-emptively.

Frequently asked questions

What if my model has no negative prompt?
Several current models do not support one. There you fix defects by describing the positive: "clean hands, natural anatomy" instead of listing malformations.
Should I always include the base quality terms?
Blurry, watermark and jpeg artifacts are worth keeping on most models. The rest should earn their place by fixing something you observed.
